My grandmother Mary Bertha Corrilla Morrison was Samantha Lulu Caldonia Morrison's little sister, 12 years younger. My grandmother was known as "Corrilla." She evidently named one of her daughters, Ruth Corilla Haynes, after her little sister. Tragically, her first husband, William Haynes, died about a year after the family photograph taken above. Samantha did not remarry for five years, despite having a large family. She eventually married Alex Vise in 1920.
